Who shall be able to stand? Pt1

2:11 And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp [is] very great: for [he is] strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD [is] great and very terrible; and who can abide it? 2:12 Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye [even] to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: 2:13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he [is] gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil. 2:14 Who knoweth [if] he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; [even] a meat offering and a drink offering unto the LORD your God? 2:15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly:
Joel 2:11-15

What will it take to stand in the last days!

1.Repentance and intimacy from a heart that is in love with Jesus.(2:12a)

2.Fasting, we must voluntarly become weak through fasting FOOD so God can begin to reveal his strength through our weakness.( 2:12b)

3.Weeping and mourning I believe speaks of prayer and intercession.Intercession requires our attention to be on others and there needs rather than our own.(2:12c)

4.Focusing on God's charcter. We can't become consume with the things going on around us but begin thinking about the grace, mercy and goodness of God.(2:13)

5.Solemn assembly not only do we repent, fast, weep, mourn, and love God individualy but we must gather together corporately and do the same.(2:15)

Lord wake us up! Help us to stand! We need your grace like never before in JESUS name!
