Be Still...Still Be...

BE STILL, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalms 46:10 Blessed are those who dwell in Your house; They will STILL BE praising You. Selah Psalms 84:4 Those who learn how to BE STILL are ones that STILL BE praising. Be still, and know God so that even when storms of life come you will still be praising. Be still, and know God so that even when the fiery trials come, you will still be praising. Be still, and know God so that even when all hell breaks loose, you will still be praising God. Be still, and know God so that even when others give up, grow weary, and faint you will still be praising God. Be still, and know God so that even when persecution comes, you will still be praising God. Be still, and know God so that even when the enemy of your soul is attacking, you will still be praising God. Be still, and know God so that even when others speak evil of you, you will still be praising God. Be still,

God is...Pt4

He only is my rock and my salvation; He  is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. Psalms 62:2 Jesus is our Rock. He is the foundation from which we should build our life. No other foundation is sure and solid. Matthew 7 gives us a picture of two houses, they were both built beautifully, both were very valuable houses. Both went through the same circumstances of life. But only one house stood. We all face difficult times. We all face storms of life. We all go through seasons we would not choose for ourselves. The difference is not the circumstances. What makes the difference is..Have we built our life on Rock? Do we know Jesus Christ? I am continuing this journey of who God is through the book of Psalms. This is part 4 of God is..... Before reading any further. I encourage to ask yourself this question. Do I know God?  Here is the litmus test for that question. When we know God, we love and obey Him. God is my Rock. He is my salvation. He is my defense. He is my glor

The Acts of God Pt5

O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them. Psalms 40:5 NLT I am blown away by my God. He is awesome. His name is excellent. He is worthy of all our praise. There is no one or nothing that can compare to Him. His works are too many to number. This is part 5 in my journey through the book of Psalms on the actions of God. I feel like the apostle John when he wrote, "And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. John 20:25" The culture, world, even church growth folks, say a sermon series can't be more than four messages because people get bored with the same subject. They want to hear something new and fresh. I pray you will continue this journey with me. Because Go

The Acts of God Pt4

Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of  them, They are more than can be numbered. Psalms 40:5 NKJV This is part 4 of the acts of God. He  has numbered our days. He inclined to us. He heard our cry. He brought us up out of a horrible pit. He set our feet upon a rock. He established our steps. He put a new song in our mouth. He opens our ears. He knows all. He thinks upon us. He will deliver out of trouble. He will preserve life. He will strengthen us on our bed of illness. He will sustain us on our sucked. He upholds us in integrity. He commands His lovingkindness. His song shall be with us at night. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth. ( The war/ battle you can't seem to overcome. You can trust God to bring complete victory in Jesus name!) He will subdue the enemy under your feet. He will choose our inheritance. He goe

God is...Pt3

You are my King, O God; You, command victories for your children. Psalms 44:4 I have been going through the book of Psalms looking for verses that reveal who God is, and also what God does on our behalf. This study has impacted every area of my life. I have a new passion for the Word and my prayer life has been impacted in a powerful way. In order to walk with God we must know who He is. When we realize who He is, and all He is doing on our behalf of His people, our faith is expanded to believe that He is, will, can, and will continue to do the same for us. This is part 3 of God is...Many of these things are repetitive. I started to not share things that are repeated but if it seem good to the Holy Spirit as He inspired the writers of Psalms I believe it is good for us. **If you are anything like me you can be hard headed sometimes and need things repeated. jk lol** I pray this blesses you and encourages you in your walk with the Lord. He is the Lord, my God. He is my help

You Can Trust God! Pt 2

But now, thus says the Lord , who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will  be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I gave Egypt for your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your place.   I shared earlier this week on  Nine Reasons You Can Trust God  from these three verses. In part 2 of You can trust God. We are going to begin in verse 4.  Since you were precious in My sight,  You are precious. Precious is prized and valuable, you have been appraised and stamped valuable, priceless, esteemed, and costly. In His sight ,  The world, culture, and others around you may have said negative, mean, angry, and hurtful things to you and about you. But in the eye

Real Repentance = Real Life Change

Repentace is a changing of direction from sin to Jesus Christ. This change is founded in a change of thinking. Change in the way you view/ think about sin. Change in the way you view/think about God. Real Repentance will always reveal itself in real life change. If nothing has changed. You have not repented. God loves you. He sees you. He can and will forgive you when you repent. Believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ and Repent of your sin.

You Can Trust God!

Isaiah 43:1-3 But now, thus says the Lord , who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will  be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior... Nine Reasons you can Trust God. He created you. He formed you. He says, "Fear not" He redeemed you. He called you. You are His. He will be with you. He will protect you. He is the Lord your God, your Savior. No matter how deep the river is right now. No matter how fierce the storm. No matter the intensity of the fire you are in right now. God will bring you through. He will protect you. He loves you. He is faithful. Trust Him.

God is....Pt2

Part 2 of God is.... from the book of Psalms. I believe when we understand who God is we understand we can trust Him at all times, in all things, and through all things. God is my support. He is my shield. He is my horn of salvation.

The Acts of God! Pt3

Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of  them, They are more than can be numbered. Psalms 40:5 NKJV Part 3- On the actions of God. God is working on our behalf. He never slumbers or sleeps. He is working all things out for good and according to His purpose. As I have been on this journey on who is God and what does He do; my passion and love for Him has expanded in a way I really can't put into words. It is not that I haven't read these verses before but when you set out to seek God you find Him. He is powerful and His works are wonderful. Much of this may seem repetitive but God wants us to hear and not doubt Him. He redeems me. He considers my trouble. He knows my soul in adversities. He has not given me over to the enemy. He has set my feet in a wide place (EXPAND). He has laid up great goodness. He will hide me in His presence. He wil

The Acts of God! Pt2

Psalm 26:7 I will proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all God's wondrous works. Part 2 God Acts on our behalf God never stops working on behalf of His people. My heart is overflowing with joy and gratefulness as I continue searching out who God is and what He does on behalf of His bride. I pray you are as encouraged as I am by this. The Lord saves. He meets with blessings of goodness. He gives life. He makes us exceedingly glad with His presence. He will find your enemies and swallow them up in His wrath. He delivers and makes us not ashamed. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me by still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness. He is with me. He prepares a table before me. He anoints my head. He owns the earth. He created the earth. He teaches sinners in the way. He guides and teaches the humble. He shows us His covenant. He hides me. He sets me high upon a rock. He strengthens my heart. He

The Acts of God! Pt1

I am sharing this because, somebody needs to know God is still working on their behalf. In my search in Psalm on verses that describe who God is, I had to start a new column in my notes. The actions of God. God is alive. God is powerful. God is actively involved in the earth today. Check out this list of God's actions from the first twenty chapters of Psalms. Part 1 The actions of God. He knows. He judges. He speaks. He hears. He strikes down all my enemies, breaks the teeth of the ungodly. (Psalm 3:7 for those who think I made that one up) He relieves distress. He sets apart Himself. He puts gladness in my heart. He makes me to dwell in safety. He shall hear. He hates workers of iniquity. He will destroy all those who speak falsehood. He abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful. (Psalm 5:6-7) He defends. He will bless. He will surround us with a shield. He hears our weeping and supplication. He receives our prayer. He shall judge. God tests the hearts and m
