This post is an outline I used to teach from 1 Peter 2:11 to a youth ministry on the effects of sex, drugs and rock n roll!
2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech [you] as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

2:9 But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

2:4 He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me [was] love.

5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Even with these verses you can't describe God's love it's immeasurable. you can't even begin to comprehend his love he has shown toward us. The Bible says God is Love! Amen. Now can you tell me how big God is so we can understand how much love he has for his people no I didn't think so God's love is so beyond our finite minds. But it's critical for us to know He loves us. We can't go on without a revelation of his Love, because we are without strength and hope.

The pleasure of sin is short lived its fleeting pleasure. Satan wants you only to look at the moment rather than focusing on the eternal results of sin in our life.On the surface sin looks good, fun, harmless,and the wages of sin is death according to the Bible.If we fail to realize that this body and earth are temporal we will live our life selfishly and pridefully, We have to have an eternal mindset realizing this earth is not our home but we have a home prepared for us in heaven if we hold on to the promises of our Lord Jesus Christ. We really are just passing through!

The person focused only on fleshly things such as sex, drugs, and rock and roll will have death following real close behind him or her.I believe firmly in telling people what to stay away from but I also believe only telling you the No's doesn't give you hope or the tools you need to live a victorious life in Jesus Christ. We should flee sexual sin, say no and resist temptation to do drugs, and my goodness does rock and roll glorify the One who died on the cross for your sins REALLY come on!Sex, drugs, and rock and roll is a way of life that For REAL we end up in a place called HELL a real place that is eternal that your going to burn and be separated from the presence of the Lord FOREVER AND FOREVER!I want to offer you another way of life PRAYER, FASTING, WORSHIP, SERVING,AND THE WORD OF GOD. This is a way of life that leads to life and peace its the way we go when we are following after the Spirit of God in our life.It's so important that we engage in the lifestyle of following after the Spirit because if we don't Christianity gets real BORING, AND UN FULLING IT'S POINTLESS without saying Yes to a lifestyle in the SPIRIT. Please don't limit Christianity to want you do at church I promise if that's all of God you get you might as well quit trying now.Follow hard after God, endure, persevere, keep on keeping on, press into the deep things of God, Don't be satisfied with only whats on the surface of Christianity.You must say no abstain to fleshly lusts but you have to say yes to GOD.

Satan knows his days are numbered his working overtime trying to to destroy this generation with this lifestyle of sex, drugs and rock and roll.The war is REAL whether you choose to stand up for righteousness or not. Satan has already made up his mind to kill you! Satan knows our weakness and if he can gain access into our lives through sex,drugs and rock and roll he will destroy our live I promise.It's high time for the people of God to declare war on the kingdom of darkness, and Take and stand for righteousness. When we do this we will be filled and satisfied.
5:6 Blessed [are] they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Matthew 5:6
Sex, drugs and rock and roll will leave you empty and,void of purpose, hopeless, in prison,divorce,paralyzed,in a coma,wheelchair, suicide and death. You choose.There's one who came to bring life and life abundantly. He has promised to fill you with his Spirit and satisfy your every need.The allure is real. The seduction is real. The war is real. The temptation are real. But we as the people of God have better promises and better life a fulfilling life in Jesus Christ. Choose today to endure,persevere, and keep on keeping on in the deep things of God.I was watching a TV show just this week and seen someone doing a line of cocaine, and my mind was flooded with temptation and the allure of getting high. But I kinda of laughed at satan. And just as Peter told Jesus when others were leaving him. Peter looked at Jesus and said who else has words of eternal life.That is exactly what I did that's what we must do. God is in love with you, He wants you to begin today focusing on the eternal things of God.Saying no to walking in the flesh, and saying yes to walking and living in the Spirit where there is life and peace and satisfaction beyond your wildest dreams.
Lord I pray you would put a YES God in the hearts of everyone who reads this post in Jesus name. If there's one who reads this post and is struggling with a lifestyle of drugs I pray that you would bring salvation, and deliverance in their life in Jesus name.
