Peacemakers ARISE!

Matthew 5:9
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Hebrews 12:14
14Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

Romans 14:19
19Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.

Peacemakers ARISE! I'm very simple in my thinking but a peacemaker is someone who is "making peace". This may mean you have to become involved in a situation that seems difficult. Peacemakers will run into a crisis (difficult situation) and do everything possible to achieve the greatest peace for the greatest number even at the sacrifice of himself. Some times the only thing you can do is pray for peace and Jesus the Prince of Peace and the God of Peace will show up and show out. But still there are times where we need to get involved. I'm learning in my own life that its much better to deal with conflict rather than avoid the conflict pretending it will all work out and magically disappear.

I'm tired of seeing Christian marriages end in divorce, ministries falling apart, and churches splitting because someone wasn't willing to deal with the conflict. Peacemakers ARISE!

I believe one requirement to become a peacemaker is to have a humble heart and meek Spirit and be willing to lay down your own life(agenda, plans, and ideas) for the Kingdom of God to move forward. I'll start with the home husbands lose the pride. This one is going to shock some of you but Pastors, ministers of the Gospel lose the pride. Whose Kingdom are you trying to build God's Kingdom or your own.

It's heart breaking sometimes for me to see the many denominations and non-denomination churches in the Body of Christ. Where is the unity and love all I see is pride, pride, pride oh yeah and did I mention PRIDE. Even within the same denomination you have churches and ministries splitting. Peacemakers ARISE! I know some are thinking we have to have Holiness and proclaim the Truth of the gospel. AMEN you do but what about using the truth of the word to bring unity and peace. Hold up Timothy, the Bible says Jesus didn't come to bring peace but a sword. AMEN but that is between the believer and unbeliever not the ones claiming to believe in the same One God. Peacemakers ARISE! Begin coming forward and making peace in the midst of difficult situations in Jesus name!

How can we say we love God whom we can't see and hate our brother whom we can see? Come on! Where are the peacemakers? Peacemakers ARISE! I believe another requirement to becoming a peacemaker is living out REAL CHRIST LIKE LOVE.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-7 The Message says "Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love doesn't strut, Doesn't have a swelled head, Doesn't force itself on others, Isn't always "me first," Doesn't fly off the handle, Doesn't keep score of the sins of others, Doesn't revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end."

Peacemakers walk, live, and breathe REAL CHRIST LIKE LOVE. Did you know that Jesus prayed more for unity in the Body of Christ than any other thing. John 17 is one long prayer for the Body to be One. Peacemakers ARISE!

I pray this post stirs your heart to the point that you desire to become a peacemaker in the Kingdom of God. I pray that you, us, we, everybody would be willing to lay down their own life (plans, agendas, ideas, reputations, etc) in order to make peace in the midst of conflict, whether it be in your home, work, or in the church. Humble yourself and begin loving others more than yourself (ideas, plans, agendas, reputation, etc) and make peace. Become a peacemaker and hear your Heavenly Father say to you I love you my child.

Matthew 5:9
9Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
