Four signs you may be falling away from the Lord

Hebrews 3:12-13 NKJV Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God; but exhort one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.

Four signs that you may be or have already departed or backslidden in your relationship with Jesus.

1. Unbelief. You find yourself doubting the power of God in your life. Rather than turning to God in prayer you look to the world for help.

2. No hunger or desire for God in your life. You have become so busy with life that you can go days or weeks without thinking about God or His will for your life. You do not have any desire to pray, read the Word, or be with the people of God.

3. You love yourself, money, and pleasure more than you love God. God demands and deserves to be Lord and Master over every area of our lives. God's Word tells us if we love Him we will obey His commands.

4. Fear. Your life has become consumed with worry, anxiety, and fear.

I want to exhort and encourage you to right now "Today" to turn to the Lord in faith and repentance if you see any of these signs in your life. God is a God of love, mercy, and grace and will forgive and empower you in the areas you are struggling.

Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
