Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Lord
someone or something having power, supreme authority, a master or ruler.
Is it that we don't understand the term Lord or are people deceived, or just flat out disobedient. So many today in the world and church confess with their mouth Jesus is Lord, but never allow Him to be Lord, Ruler and Master over their life.
Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV
“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’
Does your life display that Jesus is your Lord? Do you consider Jesus your Lord, Master, and Ruler as you make your daily decisions. The only ones that can truly declare Him to be Lord are the ones doing His will.
