I have been studying and meditating on the subject of encouragement. I have written a lot of notes and studied more than twenty verses on this subject but I find everything the new testament says about encouragement to be summed up in this one verse.
Hebrews 3:13 NKJV But exhort/ encourage one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Church we must reach out to one another love one another, care for one another, pray for one another and encourage one another. Yes Jesus has promised us life and life more abundantly, but in the same breath reminded us about the thief who came to steal, kill, and destroy. Many are facing the attacks of the enemy and need someone to come along side of them and encourage them. Have you seen someone today that needs encouragement don't put it off, encourage them today, love on them today, pray for them today. Maybe God has put someone on your heart, call them today and encourage them.
This battle we are in is real, the enemy is real the power of sin is real. Many will face destruction and fall away from the Lord, but through your simple encouragement their situation can be completely turned around. I encourage you to become a person known for encouraging others. We have the power of life and death in our tongue choose today to share life and encouragement with those around you.
