Giving Thanks in Fiery Trials!

Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy.
I Peter 4:12‭-‬13

Last Thursday I shared a post titled
Rise Up and Give Thanks. I want to build on that thought this week by sharing with you on this Thankful Thursday six reasons to be thankful for fiery trials.

We Give Thanks in Fiery Trials because.....

1. Fiery trials are never meant to destroy our faith only to define/prove/ reveal our faith.

 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
James 1:2‭-‬3

 When you pass through the waters, I will  be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.
Isaiah 43:2   

  

 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ,
I Peter 1:6‭-‬7

2. Fiery trials give us the opportunity to step out of our own limitations and into the unlimited power, resources, and provision of God.

3. Fiery trials are never meant to push us away from the Lord but rather push  us into the arms of our loving Father. 

And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
Romans 5:3‭-‬5

4. Fiery trials are an indicator of a on authentic on fire relationship with Jesus Christ. They are a sign of being one with Jesus. We never more shine the glory and power of God as when giving thanks to God in the midst of a fiery trial.

That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,
Philippians 3:10

     

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
I Corinthians 1:9

5. Fiery trails, tests our Faith. Untested faith is unsure faith. Tested faith is strong, steady and settled. Faith grows when exercised in fiery trials.   

    

But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
I Peter 5:10

6. Fiery trials are not a end of all the things but the edge of new things. We learn to live each day with our eyes on Jesus.

Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
II Corinthians 4:16‭-‬18     

Beloved, God is always at work. Trust Him and Give Him Thanks In Your Fiery Trials and watch as He turns your fiery trials into fire filled triumph.
