Walking in Wisdom while you Wait!

We all have to wait, and if we are all honest most of the time we would prefer not to wait. Waiting on God many times will make you or break you. Some are good at waiting others not so good. Every great man of God in scripture experienced a season of waiting.  God has called us to walk in wisdom and to understand the will of the Lord while we are waiting.  I want to share with you in this post a few things the wise know and do while they are waiting on God.

~The wise know the wait doesn't mean God doesn't care, love, or hear us. They know the delay is not a denial.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
I John 5:14‭-‬15 NKJV

~The wise understand the principles and the promise of the  harvest.

But this I  say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
II Corinthians 9:6 NKJV

The wise have plowed, sowed, planted, watered, and they are eagerly expecting the Harvest.

The wise know that if we do our part God will always do His part.

The wise understand Genesis 8:22

“While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall not cease.”
Genesis 8:22 NKJV

As long as the earth remains. There will be a time to sow seed. A time to (Wait). And a harvest time.

~The wise know in the wait. Hard work pays off with success. Laziness leads to poverty. The wise work hard while waiting.

The wise lay to rest laziness and put their hand to the plow and do not look back.

The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; But the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.
Proverbs 13:4 NKJV

The lazy man will not plow because of winter; He will beg during harvest and have nothing.
Proverbs 20:4 NKJV

~The wise use the wait as a time to reflect and examine their life.

Examine yourselves as  to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
II Corinthians 13:5 NKJV

This point will not cause this post to be shared or liked but it very well could be the thing that changes your entire life and eternal destination.

~The wise continue to hope and seek the face of God during the delay.

“The Lord  is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” The Lord  is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.
Lamentations 3:24‭-‬25 NKJV

~The wise  don't fall prey to fear, worry, or doubt while they wait on God.  The wise fear nothing or no one but God.

“The fear of the Lord  is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
Proverbs 9:10 NKJV

~The wise recognize God as the author and finisher of our faith. They realize He knows the beginning the end and all the details  in between.

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2 NKJV

~The wise recognize God is good, God is love, God is in control, and that His wisdom exceeds ours.

See #ReadyourBible 😁

~The wise continue to press forward in faith while waiting on God.

I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:14 NKJV

~The wise are watchful,  they keep their lamps burning and full of oil while they wait.

See Matthew 25:1-13

I don't know what you are waiting on. But no matter whether you are waiting on the harvest, a miracle, a breakthrough, on your soul mate, a promotion on your job, opportunities  in ministry, or  you are waiting in line at Wal Mart. Walk in wisdom. Don't be foolish during the wait. Keep your eyes on the Lord. Keep believing and get ready for your harvest.
