The Acts of God Pt5

O Lord my God, you have performed many wonders for us. Your plans for us are too numerous to list. You have no equal. If I tried to recite all your wonderful deeds, I would never come to the end of them.
Psalms 40:5 NLT

I am blown away by my God. He is awesome. His name is excellent. He is worthy of all our praise. There is no one or nothing that can compare to Him.

His works are too many to number. This is part 5 in my journey through the book of Psalms on the actions of God. I feel like the apostle John when he wrote,

"And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen. John 20:25"

The culture, world, even church growth folks, say a sermon series can't be more than four messages because people get bored with the same subject. They want to hear something new and fresh. I pray you will continue this journey with me. Because God is always new and fresh. Even in eternity He is, He was, and He is to come, see no matter how much you see of God there is always more to come. Every glance, every moment in His presence, every second behind the veil reveals something new and fresh about who God is and what He is doing in the earth today. I hope you will continue this journey with me. This is part 5 of the Actions of God. As always you can read archived posts on this subject on my blog www.timothypayne.blogspot.com

God shall come and meet us.
He rules to the ends of the earth.
He makes the earth tremble.
He reveals secrets to those who fear Him.
He gives us a banner to declare who He is.
He speaks in holiness.
He shall thread down all our enemies.
He shelters us from the enemy.
He gives a the heritage to those who fear His Name.
He renders to each one according to their work.
He upholds us.
He hears prayer.
He provides atonement for sin.
He causes men to approach Him.
By awesome deeds He answers in righteousness.
He establishes the mountain by His strength.
He still the noise of the sea.
He stills the tumult of men.
He makes the morning and evening to rejoice.
He visits the earth.
He waters.
He greatly enriches.
He provides.
He prepares us for abundance.
He settles furrows.
He softens the ground with His showers. (His rain softens the ground on the earth andnthe ground of our hearts. Lord thank you for the rain)
He blesses with growth.
He crowns the year with abundance.
He causes our paths to drip with abundance.
He turns the sea into dry ground in so we can go through.
He rules by His power forever.
He keeps my soul.
He does not allow me to be moved.
He refines us as silver in a fire.
He brings us out to rich fulfilment.
He hears us.
He attends to our prayer.
He does not turn away our prayer or His mercy.
He will judge in righteousness, He will govern the nations on earth.
He shall bless us.

Come on somebody! My goodness, somebody ought to praise God for who He is, and what He does on our behalf. As I am typing these notes my hands are trembling and my heart is overflowing with gratefulness for our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. We can trust God!

  1. May the Lord fill us with a renewed spirit of courage, to go out and be about our Father's business, and spread the gospel wherever and however we can. As the day grows closer, and if you truly have a heart for the unsaved, times a wasting! You don't have to stand on a soap box with a bull horn in hand, because frankly, that kind of stuff rarely works, but be looking for opportunities to share your testimony for Jesus, to one person if that is all there is. But share it, no longer be timid, but go about doing your part, to fulfill the great commission.
Here's a key for you. You don't have to have eloquent prayers and speeches, just you, your audience no matter the size, and the simple truth.
