Fire on the Altar

Three foundational truths about Giving, Praying, and Fasting. 1. Don't give, pray, or fast as a show, so others can see rather do them secretly. We should give, pray, and fast in a spirit of humility. Matthew 6:1, 6:6, 6:16 2. All three giving, praying, and fasting should be regular and consistent disciplines in the life of every Christian. Matthew 6:3, 6:5, 6:16 3. There are great rewards for giving, praying, and fasting both now in this life and even greater rewards in eternity. Matthew 6:4, 6:6, 6:18

John 7:37-38 NKJV On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” As Christians we must have source of input (Coming to Jesus and drinking living water) and we must also have a source of output (out of your belly will flow rivers of living water).   Can you identify in your life both a input and output? A time of receiving and then a time of giving. A time of being ministered to and then a time of ministering to others. We must not only drink and receive or we will become like stagnant stinking water. And we can't expect to give something we have not first received from Jesus.

I don't know what you may be facing right now. But I want to remind you that Help is on the way. Psalms 33:20 NKJV Our soul waits for the Lord ; He is our help and our shield. Psalms 115:9 NKJV O Israel, trust in the Lord ; He is their help and their shield. Psalms 115:11 NKJV You who fear the Lord , trust in the Lord ; He is their help and their shield. God is our helper. He will protect us just as a shield protects a warrior in battle.  Psalms 121:1-2 NKJV I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord , Who made heaven and earth. Our helper is the Creator of heaven and earth.  Psalms 124:8 NKJV Our help is in the name of the Lord , Who made heaven and earth. Our help is in the Name of the Lord. Psalms 54:4 NKJV Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life. Psalms 46:1 NKJV God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. God isn't a helper just of our yes...

Hebrews 4:12 NLT For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. God's Word is alive and powerful. Psalms 119:89 NLT Your eternal word, O  lord , stands firm in heaven. God's Word is settled. John 17:17 NLT Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth. God's Word is truth and it will change those who hear and apply it in their lives. 1 John 2:5-6 NLT But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him. Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did. The Word of God is the measuring stick of whether we love God.

God addresses His children many times in the Bible as beloved. I want to define beloved and look at seven passages and see what our great God and Saviour is saying to those He calls His beloved. Beloved- a much loved person, cherished, valued, and precious. Somebody ought to shout, right there because, God loves, cherishes, values and considers you precious. Romans 12:19-21 NKJV Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. Therefore “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. 1. God says to His dearly beloved, I got your back. Don't be concerned with your haters, or those who have spoken bad about you, or mistreated you. He then says, instead of trying to get even with them love them, pray for them, and bless them. I Corinthians 10:14 ...

Holiness is not optional for Christians. Hebrews 12:14-15 NKJVPursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

Daniel 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God. When we are willing to go through the fire, Jesus will show up with an anointing to bring freedom and healing. Don't back down from the enemy of your soul. Be patient. Be bold. Be courageous. Keep on believing. Keep on standing. Jesus will show up and show out in the midst of your fire. Isaiah 43:2 When you pass through the waters, I (Jesus) will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. There is freedom in the fire to all those who continue to stand no matter the circumstances. No matter how hot the fire gets, no matter how desperate the circumstances, how raging the storm, DO NOT COMPROMISE YOUR FAITH STAND STRONG AND YOU WILL FIND FREEDOM IN THE MIDST OF YOUR FIRE! I would love to connect ...
