Changing our Focus!

10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it]. 1 Corinthians 10:13 I praise God that even when I am weak that he is STRONG. I pray that we could begin to get our focus off the struggle and unto the CREATOR of the universe. As Christians we face many battles but God is faithful. Someone once told me that while ministering to others you can't allow yourself to focus on their problem but rather the solution JESUS CHRIST. For example if all we see while we help feed the homeless is there struggles and problem we're unable to work in the power of God. But as soon as our focus becomes on the solution JESUS CHRIST the struggles and problems begin to seem minute. This is true whether in your own life or you are ministering to someone else and it seems as though they are in an impossible sit...

Romans 15:13

This post is a outline I used to preach/teach a message on Romans 15:13. As always my prayer is that you will read something here that will allow you to draw closer to the God who loved you enough to leave heaven and die on a cross for your sins. Romans 12:12 NKJV rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; Romans 15:13 NKJV Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. 1. Now-The Present is God's Gift to us. God wants to do great things in your life now. That's not to say we will not have to wait patiently on the work of God in our life. Most of the victories I have had in my life has been while I was waiting on the Lord. We must begin to cry out to God right now for the victory we need in our walk. 4:8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about [him]; and [they were] full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy...

You are chosen, hand picked, special, and your his #1 draft pick. Even with these verses you can't describe God's love it's immeasurable. you can't even begin to comprehend his love he has shown toward us. The Bible say...

Satisfied in God

I have been thinking lately on what it means to be hungry for God. There are many promises throughout the Bible that God will satisfy the hungry soul. Here are just a few verses about God filling or satisfying the soul that is hungry and that has set there face to seek Him. Proverbs 19:23 23 The fear of the LORD leads to life, And he who has it will abide in satisfaction ; He will not be visited with evil. Matthew 5:6 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled(satisfied) . Jeremiah 31:25 25 For I have satisfied the weary soul, and I have replenished(satisfied) every sorrowful soul.” Psalms 107: 4-9 4 They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; They found no city to dwell in. 5 Hungry and thirsty,Their soul fainted in them. 6 Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses. 7 And He led them forth by the right way, That they might go to a city for a dwelling place. 8 Oh, th...

A few things the Bible says about ANGER!

1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: 1:20 For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God. 1:21 Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls. James 1:19-21 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Ephesians 4:26 19:11 The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger; And it is his glory to pass over a transgression. Proverbs 19:11 6:32 [He that is] slow to anger [is] better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. Proverbs 16:32 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:31-32 God's plan of dealing with anger is really very simple FORGIVE...

Who shall be able to Stand Pt2

6:17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Revelation 6:17 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high [places]. 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 6:18 Praying ...
