Let's move this City

The Church will move a city, a region, and a nation when we are properly representing Jesus Christ. (You gotta listen to the message to hear the analogy Pastor uses to highlight this point it is powerful) God is calling us to be moved out of religion and into being radical. Radical in our prayer, radical in our worship, radical in our serving, radical in our preaching, radical in our witnessing. Lord move me so I can move my city, region and nation in Jesus name! https://youtu.be/9_kOlK8pCBY

Prince of Peace

If we desire to experience peace we must encounter the One who gave His own life on the cross to purchase our peace, Jesus Christ. Jesus is, was and always will be the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).  He preached peace to all that were afar off and to those who were nigh (Ephesians 2:17).  He made and fulfilled His covenant promises of peace (Ezekiel 37:26; Ephesians 2:14, Hebrews 13:20, Isaiah 53:5) Colossians 3:15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. The sum of all this is turn to and trust in Jesus. He can and will be the peace that guards, defends, and keeps you in and through everything you face in life. Romans 15:33 May the God of peace be with you all. Amen.

Jesus Will Never Fail You

Don't be discouraged by all the hypocrisy in the world, and many times in the church. Rather allow it to propel you to the cross and never let go of Jesus. Man will fall and stumble and if your confidence is solely in them you will do the same. Commit and decide today to put your confidence in Jesus. He will never fail, forsake or leave you. He is not a man that He can lie, His promises and Word declare Him to be Faithful, True, and Righteous. Jesus loves and cares for you more than you can think or even imagine. Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 1 John 1:5-9 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that ...

God can Forgive your Past and Change your Present

God can forgive you of your past sins whether they were a decade, year, month, week, day, hour, or one minute ago. Jesus loves you and will forgive your past, and transform your present when you turn to Him and call upon His name. 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. Psalm 103:2-5 Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's. Philippians 3:13-14 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things whic...

Eight random thoughts on life as a Christian

Eight completely random thoughts on life as a Christian.  God's desire and design is for us to be changed from glory to glory and experience spiritual growth through spending time reading and meditating on the Word of God. We must approach the Word of God with humility and reverence. We will NEVER experience spiritual growth and change from the Word of God while trying to prove ourselves right or disprove someone else. We must pray and ask the Holy Spirit to illuminate and reveal truth to our hearts. We must be careful not to mistaken a critical judgemental spirit for discernment. A critical judgemental spirit is a good sign that a Christian is lukewarm. Humility and repentance is the only cure for being lukewarm. We should always allow the Holy Spirit to lead us before attempting to lead someone else. We can never lead someone somewhere we have never been.

Breaking News Flash..

The result/penalty of sin is death... Romans 6:23 NLT For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus came to save us from sin... Matthew 1:21 NKJV And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus , for He will save His people from their sins.”  Jesus defeated sin, death, hell, and the grave through His death, burial, resurrection. We can have victory over sin today through faith in the cross... Colossians 2:13-15 NLT You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross. Our response to this wonderful good news of victory over sin... Acts 2:38-39 NLT Peter repli...

Jesus is the Way, Truth, and Life

John 14:6 NKJV Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. JESUS IS  THE ONLY WAY. Acts 4:12 NKJV Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” JESUS IS THE ONLY NAME THAT BRINGS SALVATION. I John 5:10-13 NKJV He who believes in the Son of God has the witness in himself; he who does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has given of His Son. And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue  to believe in the name of the Son of God. FAITH IN THE NAME OF JESUS ASSURES US WE CAN EXPERIENCE ETERNAL LIFE. ...

Holiness is it really necessary??

Godliness is not optional for Christians. Hebrews 12:14-15 NKJV Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; Holiness is a mandatory pursuit for a child of God. When we stop pursuing holiness in our lives the results not only affect us but many become defiled. II Corinthians 7:1 NKJV Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Because God is so good, so holy and has given us access to so many promises. He requires for us to walk in holiness before Him. As we surrender and submit every area of our lives to Jesus our  spirits (inside) and our flesh (outside) should become clean and holy. When we have a proper fear of the Lord we will grow in holiness. I Peter 1:15-16 N...

Empowering Grace

Grace is more than just a covering for our sin. Hebrews 12:28 NKJV Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. Grace teaches us to fear God and serve Him. Titus 2:11-14 NKJV For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. Grace is available to all men everywhere because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Grace teaches us to deny ourselves and worldly lusts. It teaches us to live sober and righteous even in the midst of evil and corruption. It teaches us to be ...

Return to the Lord!

Hoses 6:1-3  Come, and let us return to the Lord ; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight. Let us know, Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord . His going forth is established as the morning; He will come to us like the rain, Like the latter and former rain to the earth. God's Word, plans, purposes, times, and promises are established, certain, and sure. James 5:7-11 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Do not grumble against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned. Behold, the Judge is standing at the door! My brethren, take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the Lord, as an example of ...
